Meet Families Where They Are
Through trusted community partners and outreach, AFS connects with families where they live, work, learn, and seek support, making help accessible when and where it is needed most.
Empowering Families to Thrive
A community-rooted service model that brings support directly to families at apartment complexes, motels, and neighborhood sites.
Mission
AFS was founded from lived experience, faith in service, and a belief that families can build stability when support is accessible, practical, and relational.
The organization prioritizes children, parents, and caregivers who may be isolated by poverty, transportation barriers, childcare limitations, or lack of support networks.
Partnership pathway
AFS partners with apartment communities, motels, employers, schools, agencies, and community organizations to reach families facing homelessness, housing instability, financial hardship, and barriers to employment. Together, we connect families with practical resources, workforce opportunities, and supportive programs that create pathways from surviving to stability and self-sufficiency.

What AFS does
AFS partners with apartment complexes and motels so families can access support where they live, reducing barriers like transportation, childcare, and schedule conflicts.
Spring Break meals, activity packs, homework support, after-school activities, and youth development experiences help children feel seen, connected, and supported.
Families are connected to food, housing, clothing, wellness, education, and community partners, with direct support provided whenever possible.
Financial literacy, workforce development, nurturing parenting, sewing, vision board sessions, and community-building workshops strengthen family capacity.
Impact framework
Every resource entrusted to AFS should create meaningful, measurable change. AFS is committed to transparency, accountability, and results, tracking families served, children supported, workforce outcomes, essential resources provided, community partnerships, and volunteer engagement so donors, funders, and partners can see how their support makes a difference.
For AFS, impact is not only about how many people we serve. It is about helping families move toward greater stability, employment, self-sufficiency, and hope for the future. Your investment helps strengthen families-and stronger families build stronger communities.

Community voice
“Y'all have helped my family as well as all of the families at Chaparral Townhomes. Because of y'all our children have Christmas presents. Because of y'all we can come together as a family, a community, and have Thanksgiving dinner.”
“Your help to our residents throughout the years has changed so many. We would not have the community reach and camaraderie without AFS, especially during the holidays and school breaks.”
