About AFS

A family-rooted organization built from lived service.

All in the Family Services was established to formalize and expand a lifestyle of service into a community resource for vulnerable families.

Mission

AFS provides connections to relationships and resources for vulnerable families so they can develop support networks and build capacity for stability.

Founder and Executive Director Belinda Long has served people in need throughout her teenage and adult life, first in Louisiana and now in the Collin County area, where she has lived since 2014.

Growing up, her family experienced extreme poverty, including homelessness. That experience shaped her understanding of the emotional and spiritual toll instability can take on children and parents, and the difference it makes when someone offers a hand up, not a handout.

In 2017, Belinda established All in The Family Services Inc. to better leverage community resources and formalize support. In 2019, AFS began targeted services in Allen, Texas at Chaparral Townhomes.

Over the years, she taught her children to serve with her as a lifestyle. That family-centered spirit still shapes AFS today: "our families, serving yours."

Service model

Bringing support directly to apartment and motel communities.

AFS partners with property managers of apartment complexes and motels with lower-income residents.
Services are offered on site, reducing transportation, childcare, and access barriers.
Children and parents can participate in support programs in a familiar, reachable environment.

How the model works

Meeting families where they are-and helping them build a path forward.

AFS partners with apartment communities, motels, employers, schools, agencies, and community organizations to reach families facing homelessness, housing instability, financial hardship, and barriers to employment. Together, we connect families with practical resources, workforce opportunities, and supportive programs that create pathways from surviving to stability and self-sufficiency.

1

Meet Families Where They Are

Through trusted community partners and outreach, AFS connects with families where they live, work, learn, and seek support, making help accessible when and where it is needed most.

2

Stabilize & Prepare

AFS helps address immediate barriers while building a foundation for the future through essential resources, workforce development, digital skills, coaching, youth enrichment, and supportive services.

3

Connect to Opportunity

Employers, training providers, housing and resource partners, and community organizations help create warm connections to jobs, education, resources, and opportunities that move families toward greater stability.

4

Strengthen the Whole Family

AFS continues walking alongside families, helping parents strengthen employment and self-sufficiency while ensuring children have opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

Testimonials

Long-term trust built inside the community.

Y'all have helped my family as well as all of the families at Chaparral Townhomes. Because of y'all our children have Christmas presents. Because of y'all we can come together as a family, a community, and have Thanksgiving dinner.

Ashley Riehs

Your help to our residents throughout the years has changed so many. We would not have the community reach and camaraderie without AFS, especially during the holidays and school breaks.
